Why Emsworth
Nestled on the south coast, Emsworth is a town steeped in history, character, and charm. It’s a place where the past meets the present, where local traditions thrive, and where community spirit is as strong as the tides that once powered the town’s maritime industries. So, when the idea of opening a coffee shop took shape, there was no question about where it should be. It had to be Emsworth.
Emsworth’s history as a fishing village, a hub for oyster farming, and a stop along trade routes gives it a unique identity. You can see it in the architecture, feel it in the independent shops, and hear it in the conversations of locals who have lived here for generations. This deep sense of place resonated with me, and I wanted to contribute to it in my own way—by creating a space where people could gather, connect, and enjoy high-quality coffee. I wanted to build something that felt like a natural extension of the town itself, blending seamlessly into Emsworth’s way of life.
Beyond location, the drive to open this coffee shop was fueled by a love for great coffee and welcoming spaces. I wanted to serve high-quality, carefully sourced coffee in an environment that felt warm and inviting. Whether it’s a perfectly poured espresso, a rich and creamy flat white, or a homemade pastry, everything on the menu is designed to be an experience—one that keeps people coming back.
